you found this footage on an old cassette tape...

mixing footage from our initial investigations at alexanderplatz with newer shots from spring 2011, some from the future and some from the past, in the space of a square will finally face the issues we set out to expose in 2007 (the ongoing neoliberal transformation of urban space at alexanderplatz), while also reflecting the inherent fragility of thought and discourse - as well as the unpredictable fluxes of memory to which the documentarist is subject.

having been subjected to a series of revisions and changes of perspective, it becomes clear that the document is a fiction like any other. that the fiction is a document like any other. and the capacity for fiction to represent truth is a function of its plausibility.
