alexanderplatz, berlin. a series of documents. through the exposure of subjectivities which are otherwise systematically filtered out of urban experience by design, we intend to erode the clean facade of the metropolis. alexanderplatz offers the chance to act while the facade is still a work in progress. now, another time and place. having sifted through the remains of our life in the square - a series of self-deceptions. a rethinking of the nature of the documentary. the critical roles played by fiction and lies move to the surface.

after repeated re-workings, a long-term additive process which constitutes the re-working of memory and makes the accumulation of time visible, something unexpected begins to emerge. in breaking down what is assumed and reconstructing what is known, we move from passivity to activity. the imagination, fantasy and delusions are reclaimed as sources of power. tired old definitions have now lost their relevance.
